One of our cats passed away at home last night. I brought her remains in to Animal Control this morning, so that they could properly dispose of them. I did fine up until the point where they asked me her name, then I had to start fighting back the tears.
I'm so sorry. I know the feeling. How are the kids?

ReplyDeleteThe kids are mostly fine, except at bedtime, of course. She was a nice cat, born in our basement almost 13 years ago, so she's been a part of all of our lives for so long.
ReplyDeleteI am really sorry. We are facing the same thing here. Mike has agreed to come and take Brandy (our dog)in to the vet tomorrow to be put down. I just can not do it. She can barely even stand up any more, so I know it is the humane thing to do for her. Still, it is hard. My thoughts are withyou and the kids.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Brandy, Margie. I think it will be much harder on the kids when it's finally our dog, Charlie's time to go. He's still young & healthy, though, so I hope it will be a long time coming.
