Dinner for Vaughn and Cole looked just like it did when they were 3 years old. Mac-n-cheese, cut up hot dogs with ketchup, orange slices and chocolate milk.

Discussing the days events (this is one of those photos taken at about 10:00 at night when I realized that I hadn't used my camera all day)

We dropped off our blanket donation for Project Linus, today. Their living room was FULL of blankets! Wow! They said that they had so many they had to find other places to donate them to, so have arranged to send some to Haiti, too.

About once a month he snaps his skateboard in half from riding too hard. He got a new board today and was putting the trucks and wheels on.

This is a school zone sign by our house...not sure if everyone knows, but you are not allowed to talk on a cell phone while in a school zone (new law for 2010). I had no idea until Joe got a warning ticket for it!

Shelby messing with the puppies' minds. He locked himself in their crate. They kept sniffing around & one even grabbed hold of the latch & tried to open it.

We are working on a reading program with the library. I know he is kind of young, but it's fun challenging ourselves to meet the requirement!

Homework, studying, grades - it's a constant struggle here lately. How do I stress the importance that grades have on a person's future?
"Do you want fries with that?"

We are in the market for blinds/curtains/valances, etc. We got a quote today from a super cute grandma from JCP. I almost want to buy them because the lady was so cute!

Cole and his friend Myles had a worksheet to do for their teacher. She set them free in the school to go measure things. They came by the library to get some measurements.

Waiting outside for me to drive her to her park district acting class. They both play outside until dark, after school, these days. Even on cold, cold, cold days like today.

This is a photo of the shovel that appeared in our yard yesterday when the snow melted away. Cole had used it to dig out his snow hut and then I guess it got buried when we got more snow.

We let the puppies go outside for the first time today. Annie was sitting on the sled, watching them and one picked up the sled rope & started tugging on it. After that, they tried hard to get the pups to do it again and to actually pull the sled, but they just weren't smart enough (or strong enough!).

Our new family friend. He(?) came in the mail on Saturday, then moved to the dorms to hang out with Allison today. He'll stay there until he becomes a frog.

Madi asked if she could decorate the dollhouse. She went a little crazy with the pink paint. But, now I am motivated to begin refurbishing the house, repair the broken parts, put in lighting, and redecorate each room with fresh paint or wallpaper, and add furnishings. Hopefully I can stick with it for a while.

Today I opened the gate to the kitchen and James ran in and went straight into the cage the funny thing is Juneau was still in it. He wasn't sure what was going on.

Cole (he is about in the middle-right of the picture...you can see the backs of his shoes) in the Laser game at Funway. It's really fun! You have to climb over and under the laser beams, push a button on the other side of room and then come back.

This is a good book; although a bit depressing but uplifting at the same time!? And some of the wording is difficult to understand.
