My oven has been broken for a couple of months now. I finally was able to get a new one today. Can you guess which one I got? I was also trying to figure out how to put together a photo montage in the size of one photo, but finally gave up. While at the store, Jesse & Madi got silly and I have pictures of Madi in a bathtub, sitting on a toilet, and wearing a lampshade on her head. Good times!
Yucky, rainy day today.....we did a lot of entertaining with the rattle socks and underneath the jungle gym...G is also working on being on his belly! Growing so fast!
I put James in his crib for a nap and picked something up off the floor came back up and saw he was looking right at me. Just standing there. This was his first time doing this new trick.

One of our new puppies! There are two little girls like this & their mom. The babies are about 6 weeks old & no bigger than a large guinea pig right now. It's nice having puppies to take care of, again!
I broke down and bought new blush at Wal-mart last night ($2 haha). But I still will probably use the old one for another month? Cheap....
When Nikki was about 12, Santa gave her this velvet embossing kit for Christmas. It has sat in the box for all these years. Tonight Madison and I began to work on it. It is really cool. After we stamp the designs on the fabric with an iron, we are going to sew them into 2 purses. Gabby saw us doing it, and now she wants to get some fabric and make some too!
Cole and Gianni had a play date! Cole is so good with babies....maybe Marla and Eric should have more? : )
Today we went to best buy and got some more wii games. They entertain us when James is sleeping and we have nothing to do.
Cole and I went to Brookfield Zoo today with Maureen (and family) and Colleen, Clint and Sarah.
We have a new pastor at our church. He came from St. Peter's in Geneva! It was very heartwarming to see many families (mine included) who had been attending Mass at a neighboring parish return to our home church. Hopefully we will all stay and rebuild the community that we had here.
Today was a rainy day but I still had some people over and celebrated the 4th. We grilled and played wii. It was fun. Wish the weather was better.
The fam just hung out at our house a bit....Milo found Winnie the Pooh and either loved or hated him? Winnie is now short a few body parts, and Brooks will likely discover them in a day or two..haha
I don't remember what they were laughing about... It's nice having Al home for the weekend, though!
4th of July parade. A float had just gone by that had a bubble machine and Madi was jumping at the bubbles. The parade is mostly tractors and all home made floats by local youth groups and businesses. But, the main attraction is that every float throws a ton of candy. Madi ended up with a gallon ziplock bag, totally full.
Today we met up with my dad and watched the Fireworks. James at first wasn't watching but towards the end he loved them. Then once it was over we heard screaming and then we looked behind us and the sprinkler system came on and soaked a lot of people we almost got wet but we timed it right and ran out of there. Very memorable.
We went to visit Dylan at his new apartment today. Here we are walking to lunch. That's Dylan, Lauren (his girlfriend), Dave (his roommate), Eric and Cole. Then Eric, Cole and I went to watch the Cougars fireworks at a park. Cole had fun with the sparklers that we brought with.
This little guy is crawling everywhere and very fast. We are childproofing the house. Just ordered a gate for the stairs.
Play rehearsals were outside today, because, apparently, they were locked out of the high school. While the principals were rehearsing, the extras in the cast had a lot of free time. We spent much of our time playing with the camera...
Ever since Cole got his braces off a few weeks ago it been gum, gum, gum. And, he now knows how to blow a bubble.
The school nurse sent a note home indicating that Jesse needed to have his eyes tested. We went to the eye doctor today and he does need glasses. He opted to get contacts. He is very surprised at how much better he can see now!

James rode his little rocking horse, can you believe this used to be Jessica's when she was a baby.
Sleepover! We found out today that Corey is probably moving very soon. He'll still be in town, but not in the same neighborhood school. That will make for lonelier school days for Shelby, but, hopefully, we'll just make up for it with more sleepovers!
Dylan's new apartment building in Chicago's Wicker park neighborhood. They are the bottom window with entrance on the side of the building (you can kinda see them moving a mattress in). I didn't go with for the move but sent my camera with Eric and I hope to visit in the next few days to check it out.
The Girl Scouts built their parade float in my barn today. Christmas in July is the theme.
Today is Janet's Birthday! I also went to the movies with a friend to see My sister's Keeper. It was really sad but very good.
Dylan packing his stuff up for his big move to Chicago tomorrow. Him and a friend have an apartment there.
Mammogram day! It was uncomfortable, but I'm glad I did it. You should go, too! ((hug))
