The van is at the mechanic shop getting looked at...so, I had to drive Vaughn's VW. It's stick shift, I was a little nervous but I did great. I'm so glad that I was taught to drive on a stick shift (Thanks Dad!) I got so comfortable with it that we drove home from karate with the top down. I think that that's the first time that I've driven a convertible.

Nikki and Madi came over tonight so that I could do Nikki's hair. I gave Madi some art projects to do to keep her busy. That's Nikki's new hair on the table.

Both Dogs went to the vet. One year check up and the other was a boarding shot for when we board them while we go to Florida this weekend. And man Dogs are also very very expensive!

I love the fact the we get an email from the library a few days before our books are overdue. Then I can go online and renew them. But, these two books were not getting read and they wouldn't let me renew them online any more. So, I had to make a trip to the library and return them.

We went down to Millenium Park for the 'Shelebration' today! A concert celebrating all things Shel Silverstein. Shelby, Annie & Bryce had more fun, though, at the Cloud Gate!

Went swimming at Colleen's today. That's Aunt Mary Lou watching Cole, Stephen, Shelby and Annie play in the pool. She stood there and watched them for a long time (45 minutes-an hour). While the kids were swimming I was filling out the paperwork to register Vaughn for school. When I got done with that I started looking at my new Rachael Ray magazine. That's the ad that I saw when I opened it. I am still very confused by it...gotta go look at one at the news stand and see if they all say "Cole-Geneva, IL"

When Nikki was living here, we could never find any nail clippers or tweezers. In the last few days, I have cleaned out a couple of closets and lookie what I found! Maybe now things will get put back in their proper place and I won't have to buy any more.

Today I was sooo sick. It started a little yesterday but now I feel horrible. Spent all day playing wii mario kart. I think James might have a cold now too. Wish we could have made it to the baptism but we were too sick.

Sorry we missed Gianni's baptism. We went to a birthday party for one of my child care kids. There were only 4 kids there, and one was his sister, and one was his cousin. Out of 12 child care kids invited, only Madi and another went. I had a feeling that would happen, so that is why I chose to go to this little boy's party instead of the baptism. Let me just say that I am very disappointed at the attitudes of some people.

Some of the teenagers that are going on the mission trip. They are enjoying doughnuts as they wait for the vans to arrive. I don't know the first two girls...but the third girl is Alex (Amanda's sister) and then there's Amanda (Vaughn's girlfriend) and then Justin (Amanda's brother) and then Vaughn.

A while back I posted a picture of this plant. It is all that is left of a plant that I took home from Mom's funeral. There was just one leaf left. But look, a new leaf has sprouted! I don't know if I should plant this back in dirt, or leave it alone in the water. I definitely do not have a green thumb!

Well, there it is. But it's not hooked up. I didn't want to pay for delivery or hook up - figured that I could do it myself. But that silver coil thing and strange connector things got the better of me. So, my friend Dean (aka Tom Cruise) is coming in the morning to hook it up.

My stupid phone has decided to not allow me to send text messages...after several attempts of talking with customer service and going to the att store, it seems that it's hopeless. Got a manicure and pedicure today. Then they talked me into getting my eyebrows and lip waxed. I've never had anything waxed before...it really wasn't that bad.

My oven has been broken for a couple of months now. I finally was able to get a new one today. Can you guess which one I got? I was also trying to figure out how to put together a photo montage in the size of one photo, but finally gave up. While at the store, Jesse & Madi got silly and I have pictures of Madi in a bathtub, sitting on a toilet, and wearing a lampshade on her head. Good times!

Yucky, rainy day today.....we did a lot of entertaining with the rattle socks and underneath the jungle gym...G is also working on being on his belly! Growing so fast!
