Annie's class had their holiday concert, today, along with the 3rd & 6th grades. Shelby's class (and the kindergarten, first & 5th graders) will perform in the spring. Annie's in the back row, wearing red, right in front of the brown doorway. She got to play the glockenspiel for this song: Ding Dong Merrily On High

We won "bowling dollars" tonight. That means that our team got 5 strikes in a row...AMAZING! It started out with Colleen getting a strike, then Marla, then Miranda, then Sandie and then Colleen again (Donna wasn't there since she sprained her foot). We get to spend them on anything that we want at the St. Charles bowl...so, we'll probably get some drinks.

So, I got the tires rotated at Discount tire..while nursing Gianni, I had the pleasure (?) of listening to a man, in his 40's (who seemed - how shall I put this? - perverted?) talk on the phone about how he 'necked' with a girl for 30 minutes and how she is a good kisser. He also spoke about his upcoming divorce and how his soon to be ex wife has taken him for everything and he is now broke...did he not understand that he was in public? He then persisted on having a conversation with myself and the lady next to me. I was pleasantly surprised as he was a nice man and we had a nice converstation. But, I could have done without hearing everything else...

I took down my old bulletin board today (I got tired of looking at it). I don't know if it's the lighting or what...but, everything always seems to fade on that bulletin board. I do think that it looks cool though. Try to guess which Dr. Seuss character belongs to each "shadow". You can check my September 25th photo to see if you are right.

Escaping from the flood... Woke up to police and National Guard helping people to evacuate. Safe and sound at Maggie's now. She and Dick are trying to find enough power cord to keep the RV from using up the last of the propane to keep the refrigerator cold, etc. I'm going to take a bubble bath...

Cole has been wearing a Santa hat to school for about a week now. And, he has been wanting one of these elf hats. So tonight after his orthodontist appointment we stopped by Walgreens and bought one.

Finally took Maggie to the vet today to have him look at the wound from a ruptured cyst between her shoulder blades which just isn't healing. Fixing it will, of course, involve an expensive surgery that we'll bring her back in for on Thursday. Sigh...

Marla sent me info on a website: twobuckduck.com. They have daily deals for $2. I got a coupon for a large pizza and a 2 litre of pop free with the purchase of another large pizza from Bacci's pizza. We got the pizza tonight. We did not care for the pizza. Jesse has gotten it before and liked it. But anyhow, it was a good deal. Check out the website.

The wind & snow keep knocking Santa over. Today, after school, the kids were outside playing & we saw them working on this plan to keep Santa standing up. It's working so far...

I had the kids outside playing today. All of a sudden a ton of birds landed on the street. This is only a portion of them. Since the snow had covered the grass, I think they were looking for some food.

Flat tire last night as he left for an overtime shift at work. He took the car instead, worked all night, then changed the van's tire this morning, before going to sleep so that he could work another overtime shift tonight before his regular one. He's looking forward to his day off tomorrow.

I was listening to the radio tonight at the right time. They were giving away tickets to "WXRT's Big Holiday Concert" you needed to be the 93rd texter. And, I guess that I was...because I got this text back that I had won. I am giving the tickets to Dylan and his roommate.
