The waiting room at the eye doctor. I poked my eye with a makeup brush on Tuesday. Wednesday when I looked in the mirror I noticed that my eye was very red. I talked to the school nurse who ruled out pink eye and suggested that I go to my doctor. I decided to wait one more day to see if it got any better, it didn't so I got an appointment, even though it doesn't hurt or bother me at all. The old man on the left of the photo kind of grouchily asked one of the nurses to find out how much longer he had to wait, since his appointment was at 2:45 and it was already 3:15. And, then he grumbled about how it had been 30 minutes. The nurse said in not such a nice tone "Yes, sir, sometimes we are running late". That just annoys me...how come we are expected to be patient waiting in their waiting room but if we are "running late" to an appointment they don't really like that very much. Fyi- the doctor said that I have a corneal abrasion but that it's not too bad, my eye may be red for a week or two, and she gave me some antibiotic drops to put in my eye.

This cross was the only thing that we noticed that got knocked over from the earthquake that we had this morning. I have a shelf with crosses on it in my kitchen. This cross that we got from New Orleans had fallen off of that shelf.

It might be hard to see, but this is some of the Earthquake damage that we had. We also have cracks in our basement floor (which I was told that they would have come at sometime with the settling of the house). What a day!

Anybody got a file? We ate last night at Flagstone Pub in Geneva. Behind our table was a windoww sill with bars, and on the other side is a pool table where a couple was playing pool. Gianni, of course, had to get up there and study what was going on!

I love this person's yard. They also have one of those Grimace jumping things, a coin-op carousel & a big statue of a black glove. It makes me want to do something creative & artsy in our yard, too. Maybe, this spring, I will!

I now live in the middle of nowhere. Translation: This is the middle of nowhere. Keep out of this place. I love reading kids' writing when they are just figuring out how to do it. It is like a fun puzzle. And yes, all evening I was in the midde of nowhere and had to watch out for snakes and dinosaurs and stray dogs.
