Look who we ran into on our way to Hapkido tonight.

Betty February 16, 2010

We were driving home from dinner tonight and there was a huge crazy "Cheshire Cat smile" moon in the sky. I took 8 pictures of it, but absolutely none of them turned out... So you will all have to just image it! [and I will have to get on-line and figure out how to zoom the camera on my stupid phone...]

Madi wanted to be a scientist and mix a bunch of things together to see what would happen. She started with milk and water. Then came syrup, oil, an egg, kool-aid, and sprinkles. Lance suggested baking soda, which of course, has to be followed with vinegar for the volcano effect! She had so much fun with this.

Maureen February 16, 2010

Happy Paczki Day!

Miranda February 16, 2010

After spending a long time at Babies R Us today, I finally picked out the next car seat for Gianni. I can't believe how hard it is to pick out a car seat..and that G is going to be a year old already!

These are Joe's friends from high school. We met them out for a couple of drinks tonight.

Maureen February 13, 2010

The kids' favorite park, lately, is Fabyan. Not to go sledding, but to hike around, feed the ducks & geese & climb the trees. I took them there today, after making them go out to do boring errands with me this afternoon.

Margie February 13, 2010

Jesse and I went to the monster truck show. The green truck is the "Gravedigger."

Marla February 13, 2010

Cole got home from school and got right to playing his video game and eating his Valentine's day treats. That is a pile of candy wrappers on the table in front of the fireplace.

Maureen February 12, 2010

Hanging out in the stairway during movie night at the school. They spent most of last month's dance here in the same hallway, too. At least I'll know where to find them at Fun Fair, next month...

Her homework sometimes includes reading a poem to people at home. She's reading a valentine poem to dad, here.

Marla February 11, 2010

The waiting room at the eye doctor. I poked my eye with a makeup brush on Tuesday. Wednesday when I looked in the mirror I noticed that my eye was very red. I talked to the school nurse who ruled out pink eye and suggested that I go to my doctor. I decided to wait one more day to see if it got any better, it didn't so I got an appointment, even though it doesn't hurt or bother me at all. The old man on the left of the photo kind of grouchily asked one of the nurses to find out how much longer he had to wait, since his appointment was at 2:45 and it was already 3:15. And, then he grumbled about how it had been 30 minutes. The nurse said in not such a nice tone "Yes, sir, sometimes we are running late". That just annoys me...how come we are expected to be patient waiting in their waiting room but if we are "running late" to an appointment they don't really like that very much. Fyi- the doctor said that I have a corneal abrasion but that it's not too bad, my eye may be red for a week or two, and she gave me some antibiotic drops to put in my eye.

Donna February 11, 2010

The sky was so pretty and yet weird this morning.

Miranda February 11, 2010

G's breakfast. I wish I liked Oatmeal...for some reason, I just can't get into it!?

Maggie February 11, 2010

Tools I use to get through a day at work... either it's an easy fix, needs a little magic, or a lot of patients!

Wednesday, February 10

Jen February 10, 2010

Emily got her first shots. I felt so bad for her.

Marla February 10, 2010

This cross was the only thing that we noticed that got knocked over from the earthquake that we had this morning. I have a shelf with crosses on it in my kitchen. This cross that we got from New Orleans had fallen off of that shelf.

Miranda February 10, 2010

It might be hard to see, but this is some of the Earthquake damage that we had. We also have cracks in our basement floor (which I was told that they would have come at sometime with the settling of the house). What a day!

Maureen February 10, 2010

Finally coming inside after school, then sledding, then playing outside for an hour with Shelby.

Miranda February 9, 2010

I'm so tired of getting shocked because our house is full of static! We are going to look into a house humidifier soon because it's so bad.

Maureen February 8, 2010

Oh, she does love her father! I hope she still feels this way in a few years, when she's a teen!

Marla February 8, 2010

As I was walking through the hall by the library at school today, I noticed that this was Cole's class' artwork. Cole's is the first one in this photo.

Margie February 8, 2010

Playing Barbies in the same swimming pool that her mom used. Deja vu!
