I was taking a picture of some of the St. Patrick's Day decorations that I put up today and I noticed that I took a picture of me.

I wandered out in the yard and noticed that the squirrels made a dining table out of one of the tree stump seats around the campfire pit.

Closing is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:00 (unless it changes again...). This is a view of "our patio" from Maggie's. The huge "Play House" I listed on my to-do list is directly behind Dick's beer. The people we are buying from used to live in Maggie's house and left huge holes in the ground when they moved it to "my house", so we don't want them to do that again. But they don't have anywhere to move it until their new house is ready. So, we've given them until April 15th to find it a home, otherwise I think it is mine... It is pretty cool, but we don't have any use for it, and there are weeds growing under it already...

I gave blood today. I have gone in about 3 or 4 times over the last year and a half and always had low iron. So, I was happy when they told me that I was fine today.

Before and after. My goal is to clean out the fridge each week on garbage day but as you can tell by the before picture, it has been awhile.

All this week I have been taking care of a couple of my regular kids overnight too. Their parents are on a cruise. They were having a ton of fun in the tub with the baby splashing like crazy!

The list... What I think I need to do before heading south on the 14th to go to a yarn conference, and then meet up with Maureen and the kids, and then head out to California for the job. And every time I check something off, I seem to add two or three more things... Aaargh! I just want to be in the happiest place on earth with happy children!!!
Margie March 3, 2010
Snow on a stick? Snow kabob? Sun dial? Madi and a girl that I watch created this while waiting for the bus.
Marla March 3, 2010
Colleen and I went on a walk this afternoon. We went on the bike path along the river. Notice the nice skinny plowed path for us.
Colleen March 3, 2010
Marla and I walked from my house to the windmill and back. It took 45 minutes. Marla walked even farther cause she walked from her house!
Maureen March 3, 2010
Today, I picked up the water bottles that PTO had made & that we'll be selling at fun fair (and every PTO event afterwards, until we've sold them all).

Ellie has a dog walker who comes over once a night when I work.
She leaves me notes so that I know she has been there and so I know about Ellie's night.
Miranda March 2, 2010
I'm not feeling too well today, but was cheered up when I saw that the daffodils I bought opened up. So pretty.
Marla March 2, 2010
I snuck into Cole's gym class today to watch one of the events. The gym teacher has been holding "the Harrison Street School indoor winter Olympics". For the past few weeks they have been competing against their classmates in several events. Today they did "cross country". Cole's team each won a bronze medal for their performance in the "cross country" event. And, Cole's "bobsled" team won a gold medal.

Went to the school tonight, for PTO Family Reading Night & this poster of Shelby's was hanging in the hallway. They had to make a poster promoting homework. I like how most of the people are cheering for 'homework', but there's that one guy far over on the left who's cheering for the bird.

Miranda March 1, 2010
Since I've been a 'stay at home mom' I've been inspired by challenging myself. So, I've created a bucket list to do things that I've been putting off or have felt are too out of reach! Should be fun!
Colleen March 1, 2010
Darn Ants! They have taken up residence in my bathroom wall. The helpful hardware man at Ace recommended this product.
Maureen March 1, 2010
Annie wanted to make some peanut butter cookies tonight. We had the time & we needed some for a PTO thing tomorrow night, anyway.
Marla March 1, 2010
We are having a 3 session "Bags" tournament at school. Any staff that wanted to sign up could join. It's after school and we get a new partner each week. My partner and I won both of our games today. I took this photo of some of the other staff when we got done with our games.
Margie March 1, 2010
On his way to his first day of baseball practice. I don't think he meant to have his eyes closed. Although, it was 5:30 AM, so maybe sleepwalking?? His first game is in 2 weeks. Not sure we'll be able to find the field under the snow.

Joe cooked the best dinner I have ever tasted. mmmm makes me hungry. It's spaghetti with scallops in vodka sauce and salmon marinated in Lemon herb peppercorn with a pineapple on top.
Margie February 28, 2010
This is our new kitty that we adopted from the shelter today. Her name is Molly, which of course, is a lovely name! But, we may change it. Madi is thinking that Mrs. Whiskers is a nice name. Since the cat is really Jesse's, he is having final say on the name.

Clint was home a short while today. It's nice to know that my little boy is still inside the growing young man.
Miranda February 27, 2010
Joe was in a bowling tournament today. It was only an 8 lane bowling alley. It was very neat and Joe didn't do too bad. We'll see if he wins anything. The tournament last from January through April, so we won't know for a while. But, he had fun...and secretly wishes he could be a pro bowler and go on tour!
Maureen February 27, 2010
The snowman head that we made & left sitting by itself on the bench outside the library today. I wonder how many people have been amused by it since we left.
