Aunt Mary Lou and I went to the 'Old Settler's Breakfast' at Mill Race Inn. It is a yearly event during Swedish Days for anyone who has lived in Geneva for 15 years or longer. These hashbrowns were swimming in butter!

Maureen June 24, 2010

They brought our 'Sandy' in to rehearsals, tonight, so that we could take some publicity shots for the show.

Marla June 24, 2010

We met Miranda and Gianni at the splash park today. Gianni wasn't very thrilled with it so we headed down to Swedish Days instead.

Maureen June 23, 2010

We decided to go out for a walk in between storms tonight, just to get everyone out of the house & into some cool fresh air.

Marla June 23, 2010

Colleen and I are looking for stuff to lend to St. Peter's for their 100th Anniversary celebration. We got some boxes of stuff from Aunt Mary Lou's house and went through it tonight. So far we haven't found much for St. Peter's but we found a lot of other cool stuff...watch the family forum for them. And, if you have any memories of St. Peter's (photos, newspaper clippings, stories, etc) they are collecting them for a book.

It's a WeGo High tradition for graduating seniors to sign a wall backstage if they were in any shows during their time at the school. Tonight, Annie & I found Allison's brick.

Lupus Walk-Chicago 2010

Maureen June 19, 2010

The dryer stopped working a week or so ago. We decided to put up a clothesline & let nature do the work for us, at least until some time in th fall, anyway.

Margie June 19, 2010

One of three half of trees that blew down. Our trampoline blew across the yard, but was stopped by a pine tree which lost a branch in the process. All the stuff on our back deck blew away, but I think I retrieved most of it. The kid's playhouses were blown around. And, I also lost a lot of shingles from the roof. Planning to call insurance tomorrow, and if I am lucky, maybe I can get my 30 yr. old roof replaced.

After tangling with a tornado, Madi and I finally made it out to Girl Scout camp. We took a hike out to the big suspension bridge, the highlight of this camp.

Colleen June 18, 2010

Look what happened while I was at work today! Thankfully we have some great family members, Eric, Cole and Marla cut it up and put it at the curb. Thank you.

Some of the effects of the storm at my parents house

Marla June 18, 2010

We got a call from Colleen tonight, she asked us to go check out her house and Aunt Mary Lou. The lady that lets Ellie out had called Colleen at work to let her know that a tree had fallen. We had a storm here this evening and Colleen's tree in the front yard had split in half. It didn't hit the house or anything. Aunt Mary Lou actually didn't even hear it, do she wasn't worried at all.

Dylan's cat, Woody, likes lettuce. He is staying with us while Dylan is on "tour". He took this piece of lettuce out of the sink.

Margie June 17, 2010

A while back I was pulling weeds around my grapes and raspberries. There was a thistle that was too prickly, so I left it and planned to come back with gloves or something to cut it down. I never got back to it, and now it is really tall, and the kids love the beautiful flowers.

Maureen June 16, 2010

At the dentist's office, after getting a cavity filled. I remember being so very scared of the dentist when I was a kid. My kids actually look forward to their dentist visits, even the hard ones like this, because the dentist specializes in pediatrics - they do great with kids!

Marla June 16, 2010
