I made an unusual salad today. It is cantaloupe, tomato and cucumbers with a vinegar/oil dressing. Sounds strange but is actually quite good.

We went to the dollar store, today, because she wanted to use some of her birthday money to buy some things to donate to her classroom's 'store'. She also bought herself some googly eyes!

Cole is studying his spelling words. The students that are kinesthetic learners were supposed to spell their words as they walked up and down the stairs. He has really hard words this week (rhinoceros, idealistic...) so it didn't seem to me like this was going to help him at all.

Today is Joe's birthday! but he's out to sea for a week. So me and the kids when to toy r us for a Thomas the tank engine play date. We got lots of stuff ( some for christmas). Then later on James didn't want to take a nap but boy did he need it. He cried for 10 mins then fell asleep by the door just like his daddy used to when he was James age. I had to fit my phone under the door to take a picture of him.

Annie had some cousins come for a sleepover at Aunt Colleen's, to celebrate her birthday. Thank you, Colleen!
Unfortunately, the panel that was broken on the pool became more broken while we were there. Does anyone know anyone who can repair Colleen's pool?

All of my boys after the "Secret Colours" show in Dekalb. Vaughn and I talked yesterday and he let me know that he was going to come home this weekend. So, we kept that information to ourselves and he surprised Eric, Cole and Dylan.

The pool has sprung a leak again! I fixed it a couple weeks ago but I must not have done a good job. I added a patch to the outside today and now it seems OK....for now. Does anyone know someone who works with sheet metal? I think I will need to reinforce the wall of the pool if I am going to keep it.

Annie & I volunteered at the book fair at a different school in the district, tonight - one that neither she or Shelby attends. It was fun and it felt kind of good just being there to help, without being in charge or involved in any other way.
