Today James had another first grilled cheese sandwich and loved it paired with celery sticks with peanut butter. Later he tried what mommy made Pesto Tortellini with parmesan and bacon. It was soooo yummy. If anyone has a very yummy recipe that isn't too hard please let me know. I consider it the best gift ever!!

It's usually spoons, but this time it is forks that have completely disappeared. Not a single one left! We are eating with plastic forks until I can get to WalMart to buy some more. Or.....until SOME people look under their beds, on their dressers, in their closets.................

This is the little storefront art gallery in downtown West Chicago. It's where we met, today, to rehearse the play that I'm in now. It's an adaptation of 'The Gift of the Magi' & I'm playing Madame Sofronie, who also acts as the narrator in the show.

I got a hair cut today and they were doing free manicures for their 1 year anniversary - so I got this strange (to me) greenish color. It has grown on me since...

I am learning to cook!! I cooked this soup from scratch, most of my soups come from cans. So this was more work but lots of fun I was soo proud of myself I really thought I wouldn't have time with the kids keeping me busy. But it does relieve some stress! and it's all healthy!! I plan on making everything in this cook book. Plus in the end it was really good! Everyone loved it!!

Last night, Annie & I copied, stapled & stuffed 118 pocket folders full of information for the kids participating in the district spelling bee that I'm organizing. This morning, I delivered them to the 6 K-6 grade schools in town. This afternoon, 5 more kids signed up for the bee... I'll deliver those ones tomorrow.

Sticking it to the man at the cast party!
The kids & I won't miss the rolled up mats that were in the gym where they put on this show or the rules about sitting on them (which, didn't really have a logical reason for existing and which, apparently, didn't apply to some adults and some kids who were favorites of some adults).

I think that all of the ensemble kids like the Whopperburger scene best of all, because they actually got to pretend in it. Shelby liked to pretend to eat the mustard right out of the bottle.
