We went to watch our West Chicago spelling bee finalists compete in the regional bee tonight. They didn't make it to the national bee, but I am still impressed by their skills!

Emily went for her 15 month check up. Everything is great she is 22 lbs. and a little taller than average. She got a lollipop for her blood work. This was her first lollipop. She didn't really care for it.

We were supposed to be off of our scripts by rehearsal tonight. And, we were... But, that didn't mean that we all knew our lines, yet. Rehearsal went much longer tonight than usual.

Today was even nicer then yesterday, I forgot to mention that James played football with a couple of the neighbors kids. It was so cute. So today we brought our own football since he loved it so much. He played with his sister since we had he park to our selves.

I was in the right place at the right time this afternoon. I stopped to watch an ice floe go over the damn and then pretty soon I saw this boat coming down the river with the ice. Someone lost a good looking boat.

The kids have been going with a friend to his church's youth group meetings on Tuesday nights. They've been building pinewood derby cars at their meetings for the past few weeks. Tonight, they raced them.

Hot Chocolate! The students who are safety patrols at school get hot chocolate on Mondays and Fridays in January and February.

The kids in Shelby's class were supposed to be making pinhole suncatchers with the thumbtacks & hearts. Instead, they turned it into a therapeutic session of 'stabbing the heart'. Later, this boy ended up poking himself so hard with the thumbtack that he nearly passed out from the shock of it.

Joe and I went to a "Couples Event" tonight which talked about "time." It was very interesting!

Annie & I went with another scout & her mom to help pick up the cases of girl scout cookies for her troop. We filled the back of the truck, three to four cases high and still had to carry another 8 cases in the cab of the truck with us!

Went to see 'Ordinary People' at the high school tonight. It was an awesomely powerful show! Great job, Farrell (and the rest of the cast & crew)!
