I had a heck of a time trying to get a photo of Cole at his orchestra concert tonight. Despite him being in the first row every picture that I took had somebody elses violin right in his face. Finally I kinda caught him as they were bowing.

I'm sure all of you know this trick, but I just used it and was amazed. We had spaghetti sauce stuck to the top of the microwave. So, I put a bowl of water in the microwave and set it for a minute. Then was able to easily wipe off the sauce without scrubbing.

This is an egg I found in our landscape. I'm not sure where it came from considering there are no trees around it? I cannot find the nest, so I'm not sure what to do with it.

First trip to Tastee Freez this year. We were suprised that they were open, since they've had the 'Must Sell' sign up since last fall. I wish we had enough money to buy it.

Our friends had a baby boy yesterday. This is his name - his middle name is pronounced "Patrick" although spelled Padraig..I thought it was very interesting!

Tissue paper hot air balloon prototype # 2. It still wouldn't go airborne, but it was kind of windy out there tonight. We may have to go another direction for celebrating the brownie's 'flying up' to juniors. I really, really want to do sky lanterns, like they had in the movie, 'Tangled' but am concerned about the ecological impact and safety issues in using them.
