We get a violation notice from the city every year or so. This time it was because our weeds were too long. One man's weed is another man's nature preserve :-)

Whittling some walking sticks for Cole outdoor ed trip later this month. Each 5th grader needs to bring a stick and then they paint them and use them on their trip.

We found a baby bird on a low branch at the dog park, today. After moving it to a higher branch & then going home to research, the kids harvested seeds & berries from our yard & we went back to check on it. It was down on the ground, in even more danger. Eventually, it's mother came to check on it and we moved it to a high branch on a tree outside of the dog park.

He's had a rash & nasal congestion since Sunday. Finally took him to the doctor tonight. They said it's probably heat rash & not to worry about it.
