Once I finished spinning all the wool, I ended up with these four ugly balls of "singles". You can use them this way, but it is much better if you twist (or ply) them together to make 2-ply yarn.
This is the 2-ply yarn I ended up with... When you are just learning, you get some sections that are skinny and some fat, but when you ply them together they sort of even out in a lumpy sort of way... Who wants a lumpy scarf for Christmas?

ME! ME! ME! LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!
I would like a "lumpy" scarf too!
Sounds like a great excuse to go back to the fantastic yarn shop!!!
Me three...and I would like to learn how to do this stuff! Maybe you can stay and teach me!?!
I'd love to teach you, but it's getting too cold for us old fogies... We'll be heading south on the 1st. But the woman who owns the shop teaches classes. www.thefoldatmc.net
HA! Looks like I will get first dibs on the lumpy scarfs... unless some of you decide to caravan down :-)
Sorry, Maggie... You do NOT need a scarf in the balmy south! But I'll have a new batch of dish towels for you to finish. I know how much you love that... ;-)
