Isn't there a song that is sung at the end of every meeting too? Your picture is reminding me of when I was in Brownies.
I don't remember any friendship squeezing... [probably some goofy New Age addition ;-)] But we always sang "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other's gold"...
