Joe cooked the best dinner I have ever tasted. mmmm makes me hungry. It's spaghetti with scallops in vodka sauce and salmon marinated in Lemon herb peppercorn with a pineapple on top.

This is our new kitty that we adopted from the shelter today. Her name is Molly, which of course, is a lovely name! But, we may change it. Madi is thinking that Mrs. Whiskers is a nice name. Since the cat is really Jesse's, he is having final say on the name.

Clint was home a short while today. It's nice to know that my little boy is still inside the growing young man.

Joe was in a bowling tournament today. It was only an 8 lane bowling alley. It was very neat and Joe didn't do too bad. We'll see if he wins anything. The tournament last from January through April, so we won't know for a while. But, he had fun...and secretly wishes he could be a pro bowler and go on tour!

The snowman head that we made & left sitting by itself on the bench outside the library today. I wonder how many people have been amused by it since we left.

This is a close up of a bulletin board that Maureen and I did at work. I thought this quote was one of the best. May we all avoid the splinters of life.

I decided to reread this book. I can't believe that this book was assigned to 7th graders. While I do remember enjoying reading about Miss Havisham, there is no way that I could have understood nor appreciated this book at 12 years old.

This is a 7.06.Radiant Cut Diamond.
It's Wholesale list price is $62,481.00.
A jeweler will typically mark this stone up 10-15% not including the setting (the setting is where they gain the biggest percentage of profit).
-As a point of reference my diamond is a 0.41 Princess Cut-
A day in the life of Andrea...

Shelby's beginning orchestra performed tonight at the high school, along with the elementary school orchestra, the middle school orchestra & the high school orchestra. We (and, apparently, Mr G) were surprised to see Farrell there, working on tech crew for the show.

Bowling Night. I actually got a strike here. One of the very few for the night. Our team only won one game. Boo Hoo.

Annie's park district acting class performed their showcase, tonight. She really enjoys being in shows!

Several years ago we had a kindergartener die. Her parents bought this statue in her memory and it is in the courtyard right by the library. I liked how she looked today as the snow was falling down. She really seemed to be welcoming it.

This has been a long time coming!
Weight Watchers gives awards for reaching milestones. The silver washer is imprinted with 25lbs. I got this waaaay back in June of 2008 just six months after joining Weight Watchers. Today, I finally got the copper colored washer imprinted with 50lbs.

Cole and I went to Fabyan forest preserve after school today to try out the brand new snow. Sledding was not very good (it hadn't been packed down yet). So, we wandered around the grounds.

This is what I am greeted by everyday when I return home from work. The picture is blurry but the best one of the five I took. Ellie is too excited to stand still. Wonder if she is saying "I'm so glad you're home" or "Where have you been? I'm hungry and I have to go out!"
