One of our cats passed away at home last night. I brought her remains in to Animal Control this morning, so that they could properly dispose of them. I did fine up until the point where they asked me her name, then I had to start fighting back the tears.

It sure ts heart-breaking! SO sorry!
The kids are mostly fine, except at bedtime, of course. She was a nice cat, born in our basement almost 13 years ago, so she's been a part of all of our lives for so long.
I am really sorry. We are facing the same thing here. Mike has agreed to come and take Brandy (our dog)in to the vet tomorrow to be put down. I just can not do it. She can barely even stand up any more, so I know it is the humane thing to do for her. Still, it is hard. My thoughts are withyou and the kids.

So sorry to hear about Brandy, Margie. I think it will be much harder on the kids when it's finally our dog, Charlie's time to go. He's still young & healthy, though, so I hope it will be a long time coming.
