So, for those of you who were wondering...this trick didn't work so well - The rag ended up smelling kind of "burnt" and not like fabric softener. What a bummer!
If you soaked a rag in fabric softener, let it dry, then it could replace using fabric softener sheets/liquid for 50 loads...It worked the first couple of times, but now it smells like it's burnt? : (
