This is the flowers I got from Maureen. I'm so happy I finally got to go home and they moved me 4 times while I was here. The doctors said they are no longer going to try and stop my contractions anymore. If I go into labor they will just let me have the baby. They said they think that she will do fine.

Today I had a lot of visitors first Maureen came and visited and that was so sweet of her she brought me flowers. Then my friend came and then Joe and James. It was so nice seeing everyone. I love visitors. But later that night I had very bad contractions they were 6 mins apart and very strong. I had to call Joe since I thought this was the real thing. False alarm.

Still here. Food is horrible and so the nurses and some doctors I've gotten moved twice now. I guess thats the only way I get new sheets and a clean room around here. I'm so stressed out. I just want to go home. plus they keep taking my blood from my arm from different spots even when i'm sleeping and the first day I was here it took them 3 times to put an IV in my hand and it hurt so much.

The hallway leading to the PTO meeting tonight (and to Shelby's classroom during the day). I presented info about getting our school/district involved in the Scripps Spelling Bee tonight & finally found some enthusiasm for the whole idea. I'd been presenting it to various people in the district & in other schools in the district, for a month now & was about to give up altogether, since, so far, the best response I got was apathy. So, the enthusiasm & the 'go ahead & do it at this school' that I got tonight was nice to hear.

Madi got a surprise package in the mail today from Aunt Molly. Cockroaches! She was thrilled! Thanks, Molly, for that fun surprise! The package came in the morning, and I wanted Madi to wait until Nikki came home in the evening to open it. But I spent all day doing a Laura Petrie imitation - poking, shaking, squeezing the package, dying to know what was inside!

Apparently, I am on the 'Health and Wellness' committee at work. Today, three of us (Colleen had the day off) put together a bulletin board, mostly because the corporate bigwigs are coming to our office tomorrow & we wanted them to think we were on the ball with this whole company-wide 'Health and Wellness' initiative... My part was the lower right-hand corner, with info about the physical & emotional benefits of walking, along with info on local forest preserves & labyrinths.

Family Reading Night put on by WeGo for Kids tonight. They had a bilingual storyteller there as a part of the evening. Shelby was a bit distracted during the performance. He & I ended up playing around with the camera a bit & got this extreme closeup shot. We think it looks like someone is inside of the computer, looking out at us :-)

Bringing our 'new' stove home. The oven on our old one stopped working on Friday night. We got this one from some guy in Elgin, who was selling it on Craigslist & picked it up tonight. Tomorrow, we rearrange our kitchen so that it will fit, since it's 10 inches wider than our old one. We're really looking forward to cooking in a normal sized oven!
