Today its Jessica's 19th birthday! I made a great dinner chicken with vegetables and rice. I didn't end up taking a picture of it cause it was gone so fast. I baked a pumpkin pie and had that for dessert. I really never cooked anything from scratch The most difficult thing i've made was mac and cheese. I am now starting to learn to cook. If you have any great recipes please send them my way. I am really liking to cook.

There was a bad fire and they blocked the street I needed to go down to get to my dr. appointment.

carved the little pumpkin and got the seeds out cleaned them and i'm going to bake them tomorrow. I also am now making emily's baby food now. Love how much I'm saving and knowing how healthy it is.
Today Emily is 11 months old. I ironed on my pumpkin face. Ready for Halloween.
went out with Brady and Janet, Joe and the kids. We went to a museum. It was a beautiful day! We had so much fun!! Plus later on that night Me and Janet played " Just Dance" for wii. It was so much fun a what a work out!
I finally found the time to make an appointment to meet with the food service representative for the school district. She gave me all kinds of ingredient lists and preparation information so that we could decide which school lunch menu items were safe for Shelby & which weren't. He's having hot lunch at school, tomorrow!
Just before dinner, we decided to go out & try to fly a kite in the blustery wind. The kite flew great, although kind of crazy at times. Then the string broke & the kids had fun chasing it across the park.
I took all of this change in to the bank today. I was pleasantly surprised by how much it added up to.
Westboro Baptist Church was planning to protest North Central College's screening of the movie, 'Anatomy of Hate'. The students planned a counter-protest & celebration of the power of love. Westboro didn't show up, but the students were awesome!
Notice they are using a pink ping pong ball...it's in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
Annie & I finished her Halloween costume, today. She is a Cedar Waxwing, which is the type of bird that we found at the dog park a couple of months ago.
The student council members went to rake leaves for an elderly couple today (for "Make a Difference day"). It rained on them but, they got the job done.
Annie's brownie troop volunteered at Feed My Starving Children this morning. Shelby & I went with, too. It was a great experience!
Annie got captured by the witch and boiled in her stew at the pumpkin farm this afternoon.
I went to the fabric store today...so many fun prints. I wanna make something out of that monkey material.
We had an author/illustrator at school today his name was Jeff Weigel. Cole is in a black shirt in about the middle of the photo.
I was at another doctor appointment today. Nothing seriously wrong with me, I just tend to do this...get all of my appointments at the same time of year and then I'm done for a while. I had an eye doctor appointment today at 10:30...I was completely amazed that I was called into an examination room so quickly (Less than 10 minutes).
Playing a new card game that we got for Jim for a very, very early birthday present. Annie & Jim have been playing all kinds of board games, card games & role-playing games, lately.
I have been having numbness/tingling in my legs and arms. The doctor ordered and MRI to check out my lower back. I've never had one before, I had to keep telling myself that it would be over soon and that I'd be ok.
Allison spent the afternoon and evening here at home, tonight. It was nice having her around again.
Went out to dinner a day late for Gabby's birthday. You can hardly see her, but I didn't want to use the flash and have everyone stare at us.
Today Janet and Brady came to visit!! We were so happy to see them. This was our first time meeting Brady!! I am so happy, we went to our first pumpkin patch, 1st hayride, and petting zoo. The babies kept falling asleep in the car. They look sooo cute!
Put some new (used) carpet in the playroom. It's still kind of bumpy so I did not attach it yet, hoping that it will flatten out after a while. When I put the furniture back, I rearranged everything. Now I get lost every time that I go down there.
We went out to dinner before we went to see "the Bodeans" at the Arcada theater.
Waiting! I stopped by to say hi to the excited parents. All was well when I left. :)
