Happy Birthday Grandma! I can't help but think about her all day today! I wonder what she would have thought of me, as a wife and mom, and how she would feel about everyone else! Boy, I miss her!

Running out to our 'new' van, just after we paid for it.
Funny story...
We got our old van from our Dino Jump boss, Karyn. The bench seat in the old van is removable & was not attached when we got it from her 2 years ago. She could not find the bolts to hold it in place in her garage.
We checked with Ford dealers, conversion places - none of them could help us replace them, so we were never able to fit our whole family into that van at once. That's one of the reasons why we decided to buy this van, because it has room for everyone (and a couple more) when we go on a vacation.
Tonight, when we got home from buying the 'new' van, Karyn called.
Can you guess what she found in her garage? :-)

We test drove a used van today, even though the people who were there before us said that they were going to come back the next day to buy it. The guy who was selling it took our number, though, just in case they didn't show up.

Planting sunflower seeds. We couldn't find the packet of seeds from Allison's Easter basket, so they'll have to go out later. We wanted to put some along the fence this summer, anyway, so hers will go there.

Happy Mother's day to me! Dylan, Vaughn and Cole made dinner for us tonight. It was delicious...pasta fresca, salad and garlic bread. Then hot fudge brownie sundaes for dessert. And, they cleaned up the kitchen! Thanks, boys!!!

Went out hiking by a lake in a nearby forest preserve. The kids wanted Charlie to follow them out to the island. Charlie just wanted to come back to dry land.

Joe set up an early birthday surprise for Miranda. He invited Lori, Mandi and I to have a "ladies night" with Miranda. We ate at Al Capone's Hideaway and then we went to see the country band "Sugarland". I was lots of fun and she was truly surprised! Good job, Joe!

Annie slept over with Allison in her dorm, tonight. Her college has a Sibling Weekend event, with all kinds of fun activities planned. Annie looks forward to it so much!

I had a heck of a time trying to get a photo of Cole at his orchestra concert tonight. Despite him being in the first row every picture that I took had somebody elses violin right in his face. Finally I kinda caught him as they were bowing.

I'm sure all of you know this trick, but I just used it and was amazed. We had spaghetti sauce stuck to the top of the microwave. So, I put a bowl of water in the microwave and set it for a minute. Then was able to easily wipe off the sauce without scrubbing.
