We went out for Cole's birthday to play a few rounds of lazer tag. He had 2 friends, 2 cousins, 2 brothers and 2 parents play with him.

I decided to make Cole pancakes for breakfast today since it is 11-11-11 and it is his last day to be 11 years old. I only wish that I had thought ahead and made them in the shape of a 1.

Woo-hoo! We're number 8! Colleen, Jim & I (along with two moms that I know from Annie's school) are a team in a weight-loss challenge through our work. We're 3 weeks in and just started showing on the rankings, because it took a while for everyone to get their official weigh-in. I was pretty excited to see us at number 8 of 65 teams from our employer (and number 27 of 163 teams overall). After Colleen entered her loss later in the evening, we shot up to #6 and #21!

They are learning swing dancing in gym class. Cole has been showing me some moves every night this week.

Between working second jobs, being in plays and I don't know what else, I feel like I haven't been to a PTO meeting for a year, now. I finally had a free week & made it to both Annie's school and Shelby's school PTO meetings. It's nice walking the halls of the schools at night, when it's all quiet.

Shel moved up from yellow belt to green belt, today. At the party after the belt ceremony, the kids all get to break a board. Once you make it to green belt, you break it with your foot instead of your hand.

We harvested the seeds from some of our sunflowers & tried planting one in the planter in our house. How fun that it sprouted! I think we'll need to transplant it into something deeper if we want it to keep on growing.

I auditioned for a play at a theater in Glen Ellyn, tonight. Annie came along to keep me company. The other actors there at auditions were so very good that I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to get a part in the show.

These are the girls that I drove to the field trip, today. We went to the Dupage County Historical Museum where they have an awesome display in honor of the 100th year anniversary of Girl Scouting.

I went trick-or-treating with my best friend and James and Emily's best friends. It was a lot of fun and the police and fire department go around military housing and hand out king size candy for military kids. It's really need and the kids loved the flashing lights and they felt special. It's nice since daddy is on deployment now.

Cole wasn't going to go trick-or-treating until this group of 6th graders showed up...he decided to join them for a while.
