Our van had to go into to get fixed. Eric was out of town for work and called to let me know that the car was ready to be picked up. So, I decided to walk to the service station to get it.

Goodbye, Halloween store! I worked my last shift there tonight, unless I decide to go in to help take the store down & pack everything up for storage.

I went trick-or-treating with my best friend and James and Emily's best friends. It was a lot of fun and the police and fire department go around military housing and hand out king size candy for military kids. It's really need and the kids loved the flashing lights and they felt special. It's nice since daddy is on deployment now.

Cole wasn't going to go trick-or-treating until this group of 6th graders showed up...he decided to join them for a while.

I worked a very busy nine hour shift at Halloween store, today, without a break & running on very little sleep the night before. It was so nice to see this smiling face greeting me when I got home!

Turner School didn't have it's annual 'Spookarnival' last year, since no one was willing to volunteer to put it together. This year, a group of teachers & staff decided to chair the event, along with a group of parents. This game had been part of Spookarnival for years, dating back to long before my kids when to the school. We saw it behind the dumpster when we got to the school to volunteer & attend the event. Shelby's hoping that they were just storing it there, deciding not to use it this year, but keeping it for future fun fairs.
