Apparently it has been over 23 years since I have made Goop Glop. My kids were asking, "What is this?" And, when I told them, they said, "What??????" They had never heard of it. But, they think it is a wonderful delicacy. This is the 2nd pan I have made since Saturday. Jesse was telling all of his friends at school about goop glop - like he had discovered the 8th wonder of the world! Well....and there goes my lenten vow to cut out all the extras....

I'm sure that she had it as a young child, but I guess I haven't made it for over 30 years or Maggie would remember...

I'm not sure if they'd have the exotic midwest ingredients needed, down there in Alabama, though, Betty. You'd have to stop by here first, to get what you need.
Now my family (and I) want some, too. I'm tempted to run out to the store tonight :-)
I think that you are right, Maureen. I may need a refresher course and some supplies before I spread the gospel down in the Deep South.
SCARY weird! I just did a Google search on "goop glop" and the first page of searches takes me right back to this website... Don't put anything private/secret out here! I will NOT be posting pictures of T-bird man...
