I tried to sort out some paperwork today...but, I didn't get very much done. Whenever I clean up the house for a holiday (or because people are coming over) I toss everything into this laundry basket. It usually sits in there for a long time and generally becomes garbage because all of the dates have passed (on the coupons or events)

I actually have 2 of these types of bins in my bedroom right now. My goal is to work on decluttering the house (not just paperwork) for 30 minutes each day. Maybe someday I will be organized. Although this goal has already fallen short in the first 4 days of 2010. Still have 361 days to work on this this year.
Aha! I am not the only one! But I don't have baskets...I have little piles everywhere...
I decluttered a pile on Jan 2, too. It's the one that normally sits on my kitchen table & is filled with things that need to go in the kids' memory boxes, notes about things that need to go on the calendar, mail that needs to be dealt with, etc. Felt good to get it cleaned up for now!
