I decided to reread this book. I can't believe that this book was assigned to 7th graders. While I do remember enjoying reading about Miss Havisham, there is no way that I could have understood nor appreciated this book at 12 years old.

I remember that I thought the Jane Austen books were boring when they made me read them, but about 15 years ago I reread one and realized (pardon the language....)what a smart-ass sarcastic bitch she was, and had to reread them all. Wonderful!

I think I might want to reread some of the books we HAD to read too. If only I could find the time.
