My Physical therapist and doctor have recommended that I get and use this tens unit for my back. It work wonders and I sometime think I should try the electronic shock to my head and see if it would do me any good. But I just found out today that the insurance company is not going to cover it and I need to return it:(

Jen April 26, 2009

Working out after baby sucks! : ) Wow....am I sore!

Maureen April 25, 2009

Farrell was ref'ing the game. He had to call this as a goal for the other team. I wasn't paying close attention because I was taking pics. But, it was so close and, right or wrong, it's kids playing AYSO soccer - not million dollar MLS soccer and the coach was way out of line to argue with our volunteer refs - especially the ones who are kids themselves. So very frustrating to see the coaches forgetting the principles behind AYSO.

This is the corner store. It's in our old downtown area. Today on the way to Jesse's baseball game we saw a sign in the window that said, "Closing April 30." That's really sad. It was the old fashioned kind of store where the kids rode their bikes to and bought pop and candy. It was really convenient when we used to have to drive 15 miles to the nearest grocery store. But, we got a new Jewel a year or so ago, and I guess the corner store just couldn't hold it's own against the Jewel. At least my kids got a chance to experience the small town "corner store".

Let them eat cake

Margie April 24, 2009

I pulled out of the barn an armoir that Nikki had stored there. Washed it up and I will bring it to her tomorrow. I am having a harder time than I thought I would with her moving. It's just kind of sad. I never like change.

Donna April 24, 2009

I am a party pooper I know! But I didn't have 6 people to send this to outside the family, then I really didn't have 12, and I positively, FOR SURE, don't have 18!!!!!! ENOUGH! Love ya for thinking of me, but no mas...:)

Miranda April 24, 2009

What is a 12 page research paper?

Marla April 23, 2009

This is the only picture that I took today...I decided yesterday to give the tanning bed (at the gym) a try. I don't think that I'll get tan...I am just hoping that it helps eliminate the terrible "farmer tan" that I get every year.

Maureen April 22, 2009

Marla April 22, 2009

I was so nice out tonight...I made dinner on the grill...turkey kabobs.

Margie April 22, 2009

Today I had my first ever migraine headache. It started with seeing these zigzag flashes of light, and about 1/2 hr. later the headache came - right when I was in the middle of teaching and reading to the kids. Luckily Gabby was home and took over for an hour so I could lay down. I still feel weak from it. Does anyone else get these?

Miranda April 22, 2009

We got this shirt yesterday at the doctor! Isn't it cute? It says "Delivered by Dr. Homan!"

Molly April 22, 2009

Family Game Night at the library again tonight. This time there was one other family there (instead of just us). When Annie 'got married' in our game, she made a point of moving her pink peg from the drivers seat & letting her blue 'husband' peg drive. Where did that come from??? Shelby, then, did the same, except he moved his blue 'husband' peg into the passenger seat, letting the 'wife' drive, saying that he wanted to 'ride shotgun' :-) Annie later decided that her 'husband' and 'wife' would take turns driving, like dad & I do.

Marla April 20, 2009

Eric held baseball practice indoors today (because of all the rain lately). They went to a new place in St. Charles called Kane County Dugout.

Margie April 20, 2009

Dear Miranda,

After 16 years and 3 messy kids, this is what your Tupperware cabinet is going to look like.

Love,
Margie

Donna April 20, 2009

Ok..on Good Morning America they gave a guy the challenge to make a meal with random groceries they brought him. I just got home from Aldi's with this stuff. Wonder what I will make....Shrimp with bananas and honey buns? Oh the possibilities...
