All this week I have been taking care of a couple of my regular kids overnight too. Their parents are on a cruise. They were having a ton of fun in the tub with the baby splashing like crazy!

The list... What I think I need to do before heading south on the 14th to go to a yarn conference, and then meet up with Maureen and the kids, and then head out to California for the job. And every time I check something off, I seem to add two or three more things... Aaargh! I just want to be in the happiest place on earth with happy children!!!

I snuck into Cole's gym class today to watch one of the events. The gym teacher has been holding "the Harrison Street School indoor winter Olympics". For the past few weeks they have been competing against their classmates in several events. Today they did "cross country". Cole's team each won a bronze medal for their performance in the "cross country" event. And, Cole's "bobsled" team won a gold medal.

Went to the school tonight, for PTO Family Reading Night & this poster of Shelby's was hanging in the hallway. They had to make a poster promoting homework. I like how most of the people are cheering for 'homework', but there's that one guy far over on the left who's cheering for the bird.

We are having a 3 session "Bags" tournament at school. Any staff that wanted to sign up could join. It's after school and we get a new partner each week. My partner and I won both of our games today. I took this photo of some of the other staff when we got done with our games.

On his way to his first day of baseball practice. I don't think he meant to have his eyes closed. Although, it was 5:30 AM, so maybe sleepwalking?? His first game is in 2 weeks. Not sure we'll be able to find the field under the snow.

This is our new kitty that we adopted from the shelter today. Her name is Molly, which of course, is a lovely name! But, we may change it. Madi is thinking that Mrs. Whiskers is a nice name. Since the cat is really Jesse's, he is having final say on the name.

Joe was in a bowling tournament today. It was only an 8 lane bowling alley. It was very neat and Joe didn't do too bad. We'll see if he wins anything. The tournament last from January through April, so we won't know for a while. But, he had fun...and secretly wishes he could be a pro bowler and go on tour!

I decided to reread this book. I can't believe that this book was assigned to 7th graders. While I do remember enjoying reading about Miss Havisham, there is no way that I could have understood nor appreciated this book at 12 years old.

Shelby's beginning orchestra performed tonight at the high school, along with the elementary school orchestra, the middle school orchestra & the high school orchestra. We (and, apparently, Mr G) were surprised to see Farrell there, working on tech crew for the show.
