It's kind of nice to think, "Well, there's always the possibility that we're millionaires right now, but just don't know it yet". So, we tend to keep unscratched lottery tickets and unchecked lotto tickets around for days, weeks, before checking to see if they're winners.

Cole had his 6th grade check up at the doctor today. Everything showed up good and he only got one shot.

Lilli is wearing shoes for the first time in her life. She did not like them at all. She just stood there and did not know what to do. Later I took her hand and tried to walk with her. She was picking her feet up high in the air and clomping them down like a horse. So funny!

I took Madi to a nature center in Crystal Lake where she earned a Brownie badge on animals. Those are bees that she is looking at - a LOT of bees!

My cousin, Gary, came in from Iowa tonight to stay with us before he left for Maryland on Saturday. His wife, Erin, came and surprised him to help him celebrate his accomplishment of Chief Petty Officer that he had just received that day.

Cole found a Snuggie at Miranda's house. (Cole, Shelby and Annie had a sleepover there last night) Back at our house the kids slid down the hill on a big chunk of ice.

Cole tried shooting some arrows at these waterballoons...it didn't work very well, he bent an arrow and decided to give up on that idea. Then he tried an airsoft gun...it worked a little better.

He got his karate uniform, today. And, he had his first belt test. He'll find out next Wednesday what belt he earned.

The child care kids decided to spend the entire day outside. They even cooked and ate their lunch outside. They were out there for 8 hours!

We went to the library. Madi's artwork from school was chosen to be displayed there for the summer. It is the flower picture with the purple border.

I hear (on Facebook) that the Navy Seals paratroopers were going to be doing a practice jump at the Cougars stadium today...so, Cole and I ran over there and watched them.

Henry has decided that he's going to sleep on top of our microwave, even though that is where we 'store' piles of random stuff. He just pushes it all onto the floor & makes himself comfortable.
