We used to have to memorize long poems and speeches. Do they still torture kids like that?
No memorizing, yet... But, I keep on surprising her a bit with my ability to remember poems that I had to memorize in school

My kid did have to memorize alot of poems at St.Mary's, so far not a all in their new schools.
